Title: Procurement Manager

Location: Upstate NY

Reports to: VP of Operations

Overview: The position is with a successful Upstate NY manufacturer that prides itself on excellence in all facets of its product lines. In this role you will manage the activities of the buyer/planners and schedulers ensuring that all manufacturing is supported with sufficient inventory and orders. The team identifies high quality and lowest possible cost sources of supply that are supported by supplier selection and certification in the local, domestic, and international markets. Machined components, castings, injection molded parts and assemblies, as well as raw commodities such as steel. You will be familiar with forecasting and firm order planning scenarios that are derived from close collaboration with the Sales and Marketing team. Required: A BA or BS Degree, strong Supply Chain background coupled with experience in the aforementioned areas, a managerial style that supports and mentors subordinates by way of continuous improvement. APICS or ISM certification or working toward it although not a requirement is a plus.

Compensation: An extremely competitive base salary with a bonus opportunity, a full benefits package and relocation.
