Superior Engineering LLC with offices located in the greater Chicago land area is
is a diverse, experienced, innovative, and competitively priced consulting engineering firm, whose primary focus is process/system design for the Petroleum, Chemical, Petrochemical, Steel Manufacturing/Processing, Institutional, Utility and Pharmaceutical industries. Has as an immediate opening for a Project Manager.
Selected Candidate will be responsible for all elements of the project inclusive of cost, scope schedule development and control. Candidate will have a minimum 8 years Project Manager experience, College Degree: BSME, BSMET, BSEE,or BS Civil, PE preferred. Selected Candidate will initiate projects by beginning the estimating process, coordinates with all disciplines, determines the team, kicks off the implementation process of the projects, manages the cost/billing process of the project, interfaces with the customers to resolve issues and customer concerns. Meets with the team to ensure deliverables are on time. Resolves any issues within the team regarding technical concerns, manpower needs or quality concerns.
Specifics requirements are assigned to the Project Manger dependent on the type of Project assigned. A project manager must be extremely proficient in one discipline but have knowledge in the remaining three that company employs. (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural) This position can also be an off site assignment dependent on client requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional registration (P.E. and/ or S.E) needed
• Conversant in use of computer programs such as Excel, Math Cad, Project Management and the remaining Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Mentors junior engineers and junior project managers
• Interfaces with clients, manager of projects , engineers and other personnel to define project application and deliverables.
• Must be able to lead/work as a part of a team on multiple jobs in a fast pace environment.
• Must be able to schedule the work and apply the appropriate man hours and personnel to the project.
• Must be able to adapt and adjust schedules and team member assignments should issues arise
