Superior Design-Build LLC with offices in Highland, Indiana provides stand alone construction management and design / build services for clients on heavy and light industrial and manufacturing plant projects as well as supplies supplemental construction staffing to clients with internal needs for either construction related or maintenance related personnel. Has an immediate opening for a Civil Supervisor for a 4 -5 Month Major Construction project in the greater Boston, Mass. area.
Selected candidates main responsibilities will be include:
Environmental, Health and Safety within the site
Quality - Ensure adherence to the Site Quality Plan by all civil subcontractors and ensure all works are built to the required standards.
Review erection method statements to ensure that they are consistent with the requirements of the specifications and Quality plan.
Coordinate access and monitor progress made by civil subcontractors
Coordinate with the Civil Construction Manager and the mechanical, electrical & commissioning managers on status of work completed and any anticipated changes in schedule.
Resolve coordination and interface issues that arise during field operations and attend daily meetings of field supervisors and subcontractors representatives to communicate changes.
Report, review and comment on technical issues that arise during construction
Clarification of technical problems and modifications in cooperation with the respective manager.
Support the Construction Manager Civil in the timely preparation of drawing record copies used to update drawings to As Built status.
Provide information to support the use of various management and technical systems. These may include planning systems, construction monitoring system (CMS), PIRS, Punch list database, and other EPC Tools.
You will need knowledge and experience of the following:
Site construction execution
General knowledge of power plant systems
Substantial experience in managing civil construction within projects
Substantial experience in management of civil contractors
Experience in managing civil subcontracts
Experience and Understanding the EHS requirements within the civil execution aspect of construction projects
OSHA 30 - will provide class if needed
