Has an immediate opening for a Senior Structural Engineer/ Project Engineer
Selected Candidate will be responsible for civil/structural engineering as it relates to the client’s project. Candidate will have Minimum 10 years experience College degree: BSCE (MSCE Preferred). Practical work experience in the design of industrial buildings and structures in oil refinery, power plant and steel manufacturing industries needed. Area of responsibility would include civil/ structural design in heavy industrial and commercial projects. Required to complete code analysis, structural evaluations, reports and inspections, perform finite element analysis as required by project. This role can also serve as the Lead Project Engineer representing the Structural Department on the Project team. Will represent the Structural department in Project meetings, develop time lines, establish man hour requirements, and establish and maintain the cost component as it relates to the structural requirement/department. Interface with the client when required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Conversant in use of building codes such as IBC, ACI 318 AISC and ASCE7
Professional registration (P.E. and/ or S.E) highly desirable.
Conversant in use of computer programs such as Excel, Math Cad, Staad Pro and Risa.
Mentors Junior Engineer.
Interfaces with clients, Manager of Projects, Engineers and other personnel to define project application and deliverables.
Must be able to lead/work as a part of a team on multiple jobs in a fast pace environment.
