Superior Engineering LLC with offices located in the greater Chicago land area is a diverse, experienced, innovative, and competitively priced consulting engineering firm, whose primary focus is process/system design for the Petroleum, Chemical, Petrochemical, Steel Manufacturing/Processing, Institutional, Utility and Pharmaceutical industries. Has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer.

Selected Candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design and engineering portion as it relates to the client’s project. Candidate will have minimum 3 years experience, College Degree BSME. Practical work experience in the design of piping and mechanical components in heavy industrial environments such the oil refinery, steel manufacturing or power plant industries needed.

• Responsible to analyze and engineer the mechanical scope of the project
• Design specification of project
• Develop alternatives to scope or specifications of project if required
• Write preparation to bid packages
• Would be required to perform process flow diagram mapping manual and CAD drafting
• Conversant in use of computer programs such as Excel, AutoCad, CadPipe 3D, Cloudworks, Caesar II, AFT Fathom and AFT Arrow.
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work with Project Managers, Engineers and other personnel to define project application and deliverables
