Our client has been an industry leader for the provision of valves, electric actuators and control systems for use in gas turbines in the energy, industrial and marine engine markets. Main products are: Fuel Metering Valves, All Electronic Actuators, Control Systems, and Bleed Air Valves..
Responsible for overall management of all engineering personnel and creates/approves all engineering policies and procedures. Generates and maintains departmental budget to appropriately design and support our products, keeping profitability in mind. This position reports to the President.
Manages/directs all engineering personnel and maintains functional procedures for the engineering department
Creates/maintains periodic census, expense, and equipment budget projections for the engineering department
Participates in or oversees technical interface with all current supplier/customer base, while continuing to solicit new customers and applications by assisting Marketing at trade shows, participating in customer presentations, creating technical literature, and giving input to bid proposals
Participates on ISO, EH&S and ACE Steering Committees and is on Sr. Management staff assisting the President with strategic business decisions, as appropriate
Keeps abreast of latest technologies to determine product strategies to create customer solutions
Develops and maintains agreed upon priorities and coordinates product design process through production release
Bachelor of Science Degree in related study; Masters Degree in Business or technical field desirable
Ten plus years related work experience
Strong supervisory, communication and project management skills
Hands on knowledge of ISO9000 Quality requirements, Configuration Control, and ERP Systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs
