A) Primary Job Purpose
To promote and secure the sale of acoustical noise suppression services and products, with a primary focus on the Canadian Oil and Gas Industry and secondary attention to other industries and markets.
B) Key Job Duties and Accountabilities
Identify and secure sales opportunities for Noise Solutions products.
Introduce Noise Solutions and its products & services to new clients through phone calls, meetings and presentations.
To maintain and improve current relationships with Noise Solutions customers.
Assist customers with their relationships with landowners affected by their field operations and the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board.
Determine client needs and explore how Noise Solutions can best assist them.
Fairly and profitably quote and advise the clients for both services and equipment.
Deliver and explain quotes and recommendations to the clients.
Rectify client concerns and ensure follow-up to the clients satisfaction.
Differentiate and explain the unique benefits of Noise Solutions and our products & services.
Submit weekly action plans (customer contacts, quotes issued and closed ) tied to department objectives.
Develop and nurture long-term customer relationships rather than focusing only on the immediate sale.
C) Relationships (External and Internal)
Primary accountability to all customers (Energy Producers, Engineering Firms, Compressor and Other Equipment Manufacturers).
Frequent interaction with all internal groups - design, manufacturing, project management, accounting and installation.
Business partners Metal Works Manufacturing and Faszer, Farquharson and Associates.
Regulators such as the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board.
D) Skills Required - Technical
A working knowledge of the energy industry, including facilities and operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Internet and technology savvy including a thorough knowledge of Excel, Word & Outlook.
Budget management and basic accounting skills strongly desirable.
E) Skills Required - Non-Technical
Must be articulate and presentable.
High level of self discipline, motivation and integrity.
Able to work with little supervision and day-to-day guidance.
Demonstrable organization skills through action plans tied to department goals.
Exhibit tenacity with a diplomatic approach.
Ability to make quick, best-fit decisions that represent the interests of the client and NSI.
F) Education and Experience
A High School diploma or better, skilled in basic math and sciences.
Two years or more experience in outside sales for the Oil & Gas Industry.
